A sealed exhaust manifold is the foundation of a well-functioning turbocharged engine. When the header is cracked, the energy of the exhaust gases is not directed to the compressor.
This results in reduced performance and dynamics of the vehicle, increased fuel consumption and increased noise emissions and an increase in temperature in the engine compartment.
